Statistics on tranny problems and FREE BEER
i don't know if this is worth anything but......on my 99' prelude i used to have the grinding in 2nd and 5th. i now use GM synchromesh fluid. it has no grinding problems and shifts very smooth.
I'd love to be there but the drive is a little to far...
Here is my problem with tranny on 03'.
Grinding into 2nd gear only. Happened several times under various rpms from 8 - 9k to 3-4 k. All times clutch was fully depressed. When it happens it sounds like I am just shifting without depressing clutch. Local dealership, Sacucci Honda, is the WORST service department that I have ever dealt with. Service Manager basically tells me I don't know how to drive a manual transmission. After several complaints and his realization that I am not going away he now tells me he will "look into" it.
Also, it took 3 trips to his dealership an overnight stay and loaner car to correct a very, very simple side strake problem.
I'll take a rain check on the beer though....
