Strut Tower Brace...useless or worth it?
There is about 1/8th inch of clearance on the left between the stock airbox's tube and the left side of the Neuspeed shock tower bar. There is abut 1/4 inch of clearance on the right between the back of the rectangular stock air box and the right side of the Neuspeed STB.
I have the muz cross brace which made a huge difference. Yesterday I went to discount auto parts and bought a strut tower brace made for a 92-95 civic(APC brand) for $32 with tax. I drilled holes for the pivot points to be 1/2" closer on either side. Now the overall length of the bar is 1" shorter. It fits perfect with plenty of clearance. The front end was also noticably stiffer. I think the synergism of the two braces is great! This is a budget upgrade for all those S2000 owners who can barely afford their car (like me)

for what it is worth. I will never remove the comptech stb or digrappa x-brace. I have not had fitiment issues with either.
as far as performance inhancement, my auto-x times in the local SCCA, PCA, BMW events speak for themself.

I've got the Neuspeed STB mounted and noticed less shudder and less door/window rattle over rough pavement. Ordered Rick's Digrappa X brace a few days ago.
These are the first mods I've considered for my 2 month old (to me) S2K. Mainly I am concerned because my driveway is angled like Daytona banking and I can actually hear my Ford F150 pickup flexing when turning in & backing out onto the street. I take the S2000 over the transition very carefully and it's chassis is obviously very stiff. Sometimes it feels like one wheel is off the ground. I wonder about the long term effects doing it hundreds and hundreds of times.
That's why I bought the strongest looking one piece design(Neuspeed)STB w/no pivots and the strongest one piece design for the X-brace(Rick's Digrappa). In a few years, I don't want the S creaking like my pickup.
