Survey of Owners about removing the tape

I'd be interested in knowing how many knew, but chose not to . . .

I'd be more interested to know:
"How many removed the tape because they read on this board that there wouldn't be a problem and then had to have their car repainted?"
I wonder if anyone would admit this...
Sorry about the choices(my first time at "polling").
Names don't seem to show up with the numbers anyway but I appreciate all the feedback from the fine members of this impressive board(and now, new, improved and FASTER!!!).
I have seen quite a few pics with the tape off and all seem to look darn good to me. But, I wonder if there are any that have the tape off with the top UP.
I plan to look at some Boxsters and Z3's for comparison. Right now I am leaning toward the "BIG YANK"(tape that is).

Hey guys, my yellow s2k will be here within the next two weeks. You think it would be a good idea to have them take the tape off before I drive it off the lot. That way if there is anything wrong with the paint underneath they'll fix it without a problem. It looks awesome on the yellow, I'm definately doing it.
Alright, I took it off... and had an easy time getting it off on the sides (it's a 3-piece tape on my '01 Yellow), and I was able to get the top tape off... BUT not without leaving some of the tape's clear adhesive still on the paint! Any idea of a safe and easy way to remove that stuff?
Looks good with the top down though.
Not sure that it looks better with the top up though, but that's ok since I drive with the top down all the time.
