1) AC sucks engine power....you need all that power for VeeeeTAK
2) I see a lot of people tracking the car with the top up. I think it is against rules to leave the windows up since you need to signal for point bys.

I find that Mustang Convertibles get the ballooning top, even with their windows up!! That's very attractive...

I also get this. I don't think it's the condition of the top, as it was happening right off the dealer parking lot when I bought my car. The top is fabric and there's a whole bunch of air coming in. It's going to happen whether you like it or not.

If it's designed correctly, it should not do any harm over the life of the top. Maybe after many hours in a wind tunnel test a many miles per hour, but not with normal driving. Anyway, I have my hardtop now, so it doesn't matter.

I do it if I am not going far and i don't want to leave my top down while I am there. Don't worry, it should be fine.

PS..don't leave your top down while it is parked for a while. Learned my lesson this morning playing raquetball...beautiful morning and a bird decided to do his business all over my hood.. good thing he was a nice bird and didn't do it all over my interior.

Same here.

And to the guys saying "if it's warm enough for windows open, it's warm enough for top down" - you're right, unless it's raining lightly. I still want fresh air, just don't want to get soaked.
