"The United S2000 MEET"
New update from Honda: they no longer provide financial support for car shows. They do, however, send people out to provide certain "goodies" - don't ask me to clarify.
I've got a few more phone calls to make on this one, but everyone I speak to wants more solid answers (when, where, how many). They all LOVE the idea of meeting up at a plant. If this is done between November and March (I don't like this time), we can tour the facilities and watch the American Hondas be built. It would definitely be cool to watch a car come to life, but for some crazy reason - I don't think S2000 people are too keen on watching Civics be built!
American plants: Marysville, Ohio - Alabama - Is there one in Indiana?

How about this? Take a week. Start in one city, have some events, track time, autox, clinics, dinner, etc. Then a timed rally to the next city. The tour would run through several states. It would cost some major $$$ for the whole week. Folks that didn't want to do the whole thing could join when the tour is in a near by city. This would take major planning, but event planning could be done at the local level in each stop.
S2KCA is already in the planning stage for next year's S2KDays and the Denver area is leading in votes for location. Here's the link if you want to discuss it: http://www.s2kca.com/forums/showthread.php...15&pagenumber=1 S2KCA also has a great working relationship already established with American Honda so they would probably have a greater chance to get more support out of them than another group who has never worked with them before.
I had a lot of fun at the recent S2KDays in Austin and Denver should be a lot of fun if they have it there. I don't know if any of you have ever been to Kansas, but it would probably be one of my last choices for an S2000 meet(no offense to the Kansans, most of Oklahoma isn't great either
). Racetrack or not, that place is flat as a pancake and not a whole lot to do. I can't imagine even close to 500 people wanting to drive to Kansas in the middle of the hot summer, but I may be wrong. I'll keep an eye on this since it's close for me, but Denver sounds like more fun to me.

We could rent a Ferry to take all the NA cars to England and meet up with the European owners and then drive to China and take another Ferry to Japan. The African owners could come up and meet us in Russia somewhere on the way. It would be great!
