Went from AP1 to AP2v2, some thoughts

It's the same "shoe, different size"... The point is that the F20c was the engineering marvel when it was released. Set records for HP to Liter and 9K limits.
Hence this accolade....

Yep,
Every time this stupid debate comes up it's his same ridiculous self-reassuring argument. Ap1 or Ap2, they are what they are. End of story.

My standpoint was more about the philosophy of the car's design and what was originally envisioned and not about the minor tweaks that makes it better or worse. The accolades I refer to are not to make the argument that the Ap1 is "better" but as a reminder to what made the original S2000 "special"......
Case in point, I have a model S2000 on my desk at work. A client who owns a BMW Z8 which are worth $250K nowadays started quoting the stats on S2000 including 9K Rpms and HP to Liter record at time... stiff chassis for drop top etc..... He was a car enthusiast who remembered the hoopla as I did about original S2000....
Owning a AP1.... I didn't need to explain anything... If I owned an AP2, I'd have had to explain I had a "watered down" version.... LOL
Yes, because 8k rpm engines are a dime a dozen. Outside of getting a little more speed out of a gear, whatever. An S2000 is an S2000 and choice is down to personal preference. You can blather on about bullshit all you want, but most people aren't going to know one S2000 from another outside of the obvious exterior differences. So LOL at your face because your argument is watered down. Go stroke your ego somewhere else. Jackass.

Wow, you guys are a sensitive bunch.... LMAO
You actually make my point. 8K engines aren't that common, but in 2000... a 9K engine was thought nearly impossible in a production car.... You still miss the point of what makes the F20c special. Leave that to the experts at Car and Driver and International Engine of the Year awards etc to do that...
Here you go.... more accolades and only for f20c

And this quote from Ward's "Currently, the S2000’s 2L DOHC I-4 holds the record for production-engine specific output. We continue to applaud Honda for a no-compromise (if limited-purpose) high-performance 4-cyl. engine that already deserves a note of esteem in the history of the continuing development of the internal combustion engine."

This guy never misses a chance to circle jerk. I agree that S2000s (all of them) are great in many ways but your posts are don't really serve any purpose but to reassure yourself.

I never said anything contentious or personal in my initial response. You guys got personal and nasty..... If you cannot intelligently contribute to a discussion on an open forum which is why these boards exist, read and move on.... I just read my initial post which was complimentary and articulate with no disrespect at all.... Are you that insecure????

The lack of self-awareness is unreal. Insecure? That was just said about you and now you're projecting it on to me.
