When you mean "Watered Down", did you mean, "Less Refined"?

Yes... I totally agree with "less refined". I just don't take offense to the truth... But that refers to the overall car and characteristics. Not the engine....

Fact is, the CR is going to be the collector's piece. Low production numbers trump perceived value of an additional 1K rpms and 200 cc's less displacement. No one is taking offense to anything, we're just tired of you pissing on us and calling it rain. Call it annoyance if you must.

I would have to disagree. It's the special models that are worth more. Count on the CR to have the highest value. AP1 and Ap2 is up for debate, but I have a feeling the AP2 will be worth more for decades to come. Why? Take the NSX, a car that broke bigger grounds than the S2000. It was way more important to the history of automotive than a roadster like the S2000, yet you don't see people flocking over the original 91 model. Later models are worth more, even with the "improvements" and this is a car that has been around longer than the S2000.

I can agree with you somewhat.... But the FAR majority of s2000s made worldwide albeit AP1 or AP2 have the F20c engine in them... S2000 sales in US, where AP2s were initially made, dropped precipitously after 2004 and F20c was kept in all countries thereafter except Japan for a few years.

So MOST of the S2000s on the road around the world have the F20c engine. And my argument all along is that in the future when the industry looks back on this car as they do now...... The F20c is synonymous with what made the s2000 a "special" car. Whether some of you can accept or understand that is another issue.

The AP2 is an improved upon car in many ways.... But there is an element of "purism" that matters when reflecting upon cars from a historical perspective. AND that is where I am coming from......

Essentially the farewell special edition of the Honda S2000. THIS will be worth the most $... F20c intact...

The "precipitous" drop in the US was after the introduction of DBW. The 2005 was right up there with the first two years of sales.

LOL.. Guess you are not a statistician.. Regardless of 2005 and DBW.... it was a collective precipitous drop in sales after 2004..

I probably know a fair bit more about statistics than you. Collective drops in sales happened with the 2003 and 2006 model introductions. What color is the sky in the world you live in?
