^^^But, your two cars are vastly different in terms of mileage & condition.

More refined... absolutely......"Faster".... not so much.... Maybe gearing and bump in torque gives perception, but figures are always almost identical across board.... fractions of a second doesn't constitute faster..

Absolutely. My 08 is in showroom condition and has much more work done to it, not necessarily engine work since my car just has a header/k&n drop in... the flashpro gave it the bump it sorely needed. I bought an exhaust but i haven't installed it just yet.

A few weeks ago I had my cousin drive my 08 and i drove the 03... Even with him being an inept driver he still beat me soundly. The AP1 would catch slightly when the AP2 shifts however i was still beaten. With me driving the 08 AP2 it wasn't even close.

The true test would be at the track which i plan on taking my AP1 to in a few weeks. If she can get close to my stock AP2 times i'd be surprised.

It "Feels" faster and is Faster atleast as they sit currently. I plan on doing some work to the AP1 to really make it shine.

Im taking her to the track in a few weeks. If she can get close to the times my 08 did stock i'd be impressed.

I believe that your 08 is easier for you to drive faster with stability controls but power and weight of cars are same.... The "figures" I mentioned were with professional drivers and AP2 was only fraction "faster". Point being that the differences are so small that on any given day and driver... the car is never going to be excuse in differences...

In fact I think the fastest magazine times ever recorded were with 2003 Ap1.

Both cars are very fun to drive however and feel completely different. I may sell my AP1 bu we'll see.

I may be the only person in the world that loves the "smurf" interior on my 2003 Suzuka.

Count 2 of us. I had to have a Suzuka AP1. The interior is the reason I chose this color.

How do you get acceleration other than in-gear?

the s2000 is not a classic Ferrari, Benz, or musclecar. always get the newest model in the best condition with the lowest mileage that you can afford. modding an ap1 to address all the shortcomings, including the dated exterior, doesn't make sense.
