Do a search for "oil jet bolts" and follow it until you find reference to vin #'s. Getting an 02 with the right vin #'s and low mileage will save you money and you'll get the model with all the upgrades that an 03 would have. Good luck!

[B]I am considering purchasing a used S2000 to replace my modified Eclipse GST Spyder. I do occassional drag racing and other types of hard driving activities. I have heard that the clutch was a problem on this model. Has that been rectified? I guess my question is, what is the best year and options I should be looking for in a used S2000? Where are it's weak points? What should I be on the lookout for?
Any suggestions or comments will help.

As mentioned several times above (and most will concur) this car is not made for drags. If you plan to launch it a lot it's gonna break at some point (drivetrain) unless you plan to do it from a roll. Aside from that the car is stellar at all other hard driving activities and FEW cars will outperform her (depending on the driver). Almost all problems that pop up with the car stem from punishing her off the line.
