I agree, why? It makes no sense. Of course I mean that about your thread title.

As for your actual question:
I double press the unlock button on the remote or reach over, it's not that big of a deal. If the driver side is already unlocked and I am not going to press the button while opening the passanger door for Mrs. GM3, I will reach in and unlock it from outside the car.

how come i have no passenger door unlock putton? what a pain to lean over and unluck manually. (03) everybody have this problem?
I agree with you 100%. It's not that I'm lazy, it's just so inconvienent. I get when I go out to my car to get something out of the passenger side and go to open the door and it's locked. Now I have to walk all the way around that big ol' car, open the driver's door, lean all the way across to the other side. I love my '05 S2000 and the '01 I had before this one, but this is my only gripe.

If you get an aftermarket alarm you get default pass door unlocking, and you can mod the stock set up. I think only NA S2000s have the double fob push to ulock the passenger door - some kind of security "feature" honda NA wants in all its cars.

No gimmicks? What do you consider the start button? lol.gif poke.gif
Also, the start button is not a gimmick - if your tracking your car and you stall out, it allows you to quickly restart the car with your left hand while you're shifting into first with your right.

I think people also talked of finding out what part it is on NA cars that makes the fob not unlock both doors at once and replacing it with an Asian or European version.

You learn something new everyday on this forum

...but considering I don't track my car, the start button remains nothing but a neat gimmick that I can show my friends and make them say "cool!" Next time, I'll have to tell them, "yer damn right that's cool. It's so I can restart my car quickly if I happen to stall on the track!"
