Hi. I'm having some work done to my house and the driveway needs to be vacant; I don't drive my car to work. I don't want to leave my S in the street. I have purchased a public storage garage for a few days but I'm worried because my car will be out of my sight. Will my car be safe there? Do you have any horror stories?

 

park the S on the S (treet) where it belongs. you'll be fine.

 

This kinda depends on your storage lot, doesn't it? And do you really want to hear "horror" stories at this moment? They sure won't do your psyche any good.

 

Out of sight, out of mind can be good. Maybe drop the S off late at night so people don't see it go in, and if anybody does see you, maybe they'll think you stole it!

 

I'd never store my S in a public storage. Buy a good cover and leave it in front of your house.

 

Don't put it in storage. I have mine in storage right now because I don't have the garage space. I don't have that great of a car cover either. You'll think about it all the time and cause you more worries.

 

I'd rather have it in public storage than leaving it covered parked on the street. You've got comprehensive don't you? At least in storage people won't be able to see it and you won't have to buy an all weather car cover and some drunken idiot won't drive by late one night and bounce off her and take off.

I vote for public storage.

 

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Considering that it will be stored for 3 days at the most, I think it's better than leaving it on the street.
