They took a plate frame and tie-wrapped it to the crossbars within the front grill and then screwed the plate to the frame. Taa Daa!
Well, I did mine a lil more professional than that. Had Coastal Metals do some special work for me when I purchased my grill insert from them (shipped them my front personalized license plate before they shipped me my grill insert). They ground the LP down roughly 20%. Professionally trimmed it with the same trim they use on their grill insert itself and mounted the LP to their grill insert. Shipped the whole thing back to me for a single quick mount-dismount whenever needed. Personally, I always keep it on since I like my personalized plates. But whenever I used my Colgan Bra (pre-lipped front end), it was super quick to pull the grill insert and then reinstall it after the Bra was installed.

i did zip tie my liceans plate to my front grill just for the fact that cop is most likely going to be out to get me considering that was my second time with the same cop. i am also getting all worried that my car is not going to look like it did when i got it. the back corner panel doesn't line up like it did. it has a big gap between the trunk lid and the rear left corner panel. this is my first time anything like this has happened to me. should i just calm down and know that everything will be as good as new. it is just that i am 19 and worked very hard to pay this car in full cash. i will be upset if it doesn't turn out the way it was from the beginning . thanks again for everybodys repies

can't you just stick it on your dash and make it visible from the front?

I dunno... I've had my car for over a year with NO plates on and I've never had a hassle... even got pulled over one time, officer asked me about them, but never made a big deal. It's registered... I pay my taxes... what's the big deal? Some people really get their panties in a bunch about this.

i did have my plate in the car. he asked me for it so i showed him it. then he said ok and walked away and came back with a ticket. that is when i got pissed and asked why he is the only cop that pulls me over for not having a front plate. then he bugged out on me. now it is on and all i have to worry about now is if notices if i have tint.
