Haven't yet, *knocks on wood* my Escort 9500i has saved me about 6 times in the last 3 months though. I was never speeding excessively (within 10 miles of speed limit) but I think it would be enough to allow a quota cop to give me a ticket if he had to. Go for a 9500i, if you can find a good deal you'll thank yourself for it.

 

I have everyone on this thread beat to dust. Not that i'm proud of it, it was a tough lesson to learn. I've spent approximately 5,000 dollars on speeding tickets.

I have 8 of them to my name. plus two fixits, one for no front license and one for neon under my car. plus two moving violations, one stop sign run and one stop light run at 4 am. total of 12 yellow bastards. I keep 'em in a folder in my car to remind me to slow the hell down. My bests are a 55 in a 25 school zone, a 75 in a 45, a 90+ and a 112mph. I was doing 130 but i slowed enough. i'm 21, white with sunglasses on and the top down. I got a black, female cop that slammed me up against her cruiser and demanded a reason not to take me to jail. I told her it was a long drive back to monterey from big sur. she let me go. I deserved every single one.

Had my license suspended for 7 months, got it down to one, served that, paid a final 1,500 ticket, and i've been clean ever since. I'm on probation so if i get pulled, i lose my license for a year and they impound the car. speeding is like a drug.

 

im completley ashamed of mine i got a 129 in a 55=( never again learned the wayyyy to hard way the cop after he frisked me and searched my car actually was nice he reduced it to a 88 nd gave me a 400 dollar ticket

 

I do have one, I have the escort passport x50, but I got clocked ones with laser (I don't have a laser jammer yet, so the radar detector was useless) and the second one I got in the s, the cop looked at me and made a speed up, he didn't get me on radar or laser, just wrote he paced me, even though I had stopped at a red light about 200 yards earlier.

its really all about luck and what you have. If you have a good radar detector and laser jammer, you can speed like hell and probably not get any tickets or if you do will only get one or two. Someone without this stuff with keep getting tickets and get a bad driving record.

i know very well where i stand in the public eye with that many tickets... posted up here invites plenty of criticism and I welcome that too, it's what allows us to improve, knowing that we're wrong.

while I was getting pulled over, you guys were sailing past giggling at my misfortune, just doing what i can to take the heat, that's all...

and jealousy is a terrible thing nemesis, don't let it cloud your vision and turn your everlasting adoration for my car into a hatred for your own, boring p.o.s.
