Why couldn't we use that the 20-5557 part in the OEM air box? is it cause the filter will be to big and the box won't close? any other reason?

Screw OEM. I decided to just get an AEM V2 and see what all the fuss is about.

It was extremely simple to adapt it to the 06. Just got some rubber hose, cut ~1" off and put it in the bung, then took the IAT and put it inside the rubber. It fit perfectly.
