Another oil consumption thread
Sorry for posting another thread of oil consumption but here i go. i been consuming a lot of oil recently and i was wonder which would help better decrease my oil consumption problem(krank vent or catch can). car has 80k and when daily driven oil is fine, but when i hit vtec, it burns oil(1-3 xs on the dipstick) and i am running amsoil 10w30, which sad to see expensive oil to be burn when enjoying the car in vtec :/. i read many threads on how to lesson the oil consumption by install krank vents, while some say go for it and it works, some say it makes noises and may increase wear. also i wonder if catch can would help solve this problem.
i will be doing a compression test and leak down test soon and will post results thanks

WEll our cars are going to burn a little oil... thats just the nature of the s2000. Im assuming you have a f20c (ap1).
I lose oil on the track alot! but mainly because of those hard right turns...
To fix this I baffled the valve cover.

I also put a puralator valve "crank vent" to strengthen the OEM one...
May i suggest you get this puralator valve, PV1029 (You can get it at any autoparts store its cheap and much stronger than the toyota supra PCV valve.

and finally I got a $36 dollar catch can to make sure im still not getting any oil into my intake valve.
Those are your basic and easy fixes... other wise you might have to check your rings and valves.
good luck!
