It is literally just 4 bolts (excluding the oil pan and such). The hard part is doing it right and being careful. The thread engagement technique (spin backwards and feel the click before threading forward) is great. Patience works wonders. If someone has never worked on a car and is going to be trying this, I'd probably say don't. If they've done maintenance and repairs before, then it's not so bad.
