Default clunking sound from eibach springs....help please! chassis flex?

Hey guys,
I have an 03 and got it lowered about 2 months ago and there has been a weird noise ever since. It seems as if it is coming from the front passenger side and the sound is like a metal clunking(like something is loose) or rattling when I go over a bumpy road or turn a corner or sometimes just whenever. I took the car back to the shop that lowered the car and they took everything apart and tightned everything to spec, but the noise was still there. They made a few phone calls and were told that the sound was normal for a lowered convertible because of "chassis flex" and that maybe tightning the chassis would take care of the problem. so they suggested a tie bar or sway bar to see if that would fix it.

Has anyone had a similar problem? please help, its bugging the hell out of me?

Oh, and they are eibach springs, lowered 1.3" i think.

I had the exact same problem. Took the wheels off and tightened all the bolts....was a perfect fix. Might want to go ahead and so. I believe the upper a-arms where what gave me problems.

My bet is the sway bar end point. Was loose after my H&R's were installed and has come loose twice since. Last time I took the whole knuckle off, cleaned the threads with some WD40, wiped clean and Loctited during install.

Haven't had a problem since.

Make sure the sway-bar shackles are bolted to the frame of the car. Check the end-links, as mentioned but check where the bar passes near the car frame. There are two (2) semi-circular bushings that the bar goes thru, one on each side of the car. Most places loosen the sway bar at this point to help in pulling out the suspension, and some forget to tighten it back up.

Hope you track it down.
