Just ordered an oem replacement clutch for my 00 (clutch buzz) from handaaccessories.com. I called before to make sure the part they were selling was the latest version of the clutch (I know honda has reengineered this part at least twice now). The box came today, and excitedly I opened it.

The box is labeled Honda '222000-PCX-055' (I believe the correct part). The clutch itself looks like
some of the older ones I've seen online (four springs, two different lengths on each side), and the only numbering I can find on it is 'CX2D10'. If I'm not mistaken, the pictures I've seen of the newer part had more than four springs (six?).

Can anyone please help and set me straight here?

I really wanted to get this in this weekend...

I could stand corrected, but to my knowledge the OEM disc only has 4 springs. You might be confusing it with an aftermarket disc. The Toda has 6 springs:

I just replaced my clutch with an OEM disc, and I'm pretty sure there were only 4 springs.

ACT makes a street disc which I'm almost positive is the exact honda OEM disc (maybe reworked a little) and there is only 4 springs:

You should be OK

055 is the proper part #. The replacement clutch now has 4 single springs. The older had dual springs that lost tension, which caused the buzz.

Hey, thanks guys--I needed a little peace of mind. I owe ya.

The toda clutch (with 6 springs)--what performance/noise improvement does it provide?

Many thanks again, for setting me straight.

Justin.
