Dead battery after long winter in car. (not disconnected)
Back in October I stored the s2000 without disconnecting the termainals. Now i went to start the car to pick it up for the season and it is Completely dead. I am not surprised and did expect this. Will i need to buy a new battery or should it take a charge. I have a charger but it was showing an error code when i hooked it up to the battery... something about reverse polarity?
any advise is appreciated.
Thanks,
Joel

A discharged battery can short itself out or at least degrade plates. It will lessen the longevity if not kill it outright. Keep it tended if not used much.
BTW, you may have to jump it with another battery to "inject" voltage into it before a charger will work. The charger will not charge if it detects low or no voltage (for safety reasons). You need to have a threshold voltage (varies from manufacturer) to get a charger to work.
