ECU reset mod
so car what i have read and comprehend is that it doesn't give you power just power that you might have lost. because of heat/humidity/ad gas, the ecu corrects itself by retard timing. this causes a drop in power. so say that the ecu corrects itself to prevent knocking or detonation by cutting back. if you reset the ecu, then you get the same old power back. you dont get any new power just what you lost.
I don't see what the big deal is. When I bought my car in 2002 one of the first things I was told was to remove the fuse when I went to the track or autocrossed. It's standard procedure for just about everyone to remove the fuse once they hit the track. It's never created a VTEC isssue and it definitely doesn't affect the immobilizer.
The immobilizer is a circuit inside the ecu.
Yes, a lot of us forget to put the fuse back in, sometimes for days and other than the AC thing it's no big deal.
