Engine overheating from idling
Ron, This is a bit off the subject, but just to be on the safe side ...
You said your car uses 1 1/2 qts of oil between changes. You probably are, but just in case you aren't, make sure you add more Mobile 1 in between changes and not let it get to 1 1/2 qts low.

Friend, adding plain water to a tank in Oklahoma in winter is crusing for a cracked overflow reservoir, or at least diluted coolant.
I think given the nature of your questions that you should go to a Honda dealer, buy a gallon of Type 2 coolant, and fill the reservoir to the point shown in the manual.
Get in your car, point it nose up on a small incline, start the car, turn on the heater, and let the car warm up - then cut it off when you are done, let it cool, and check levels again. This should remove any residual air, makes sure you have a safe fill, and get you all shipshape.

Watever is in the reservoir will mix with the rest of the coolant system over time. Munkee is in Austin, TX, so it doesn't take much antifreeze to prevent freezing. I run a 25% antifreeze / 75% water mix in my coolant system year round in Dallas, and it does great.
Okay, I found out the problem. My fan switch was unplugged so my fans weren't coming on unless I turned the AC on. This plug is located directly under the resevoir bottle down near the bottom of the radiator. I had some repairs done back in July and the jackasses forgot to plug my fan switch back in. Plus they forgot to refill my resevoir bottle. It's all good now!
Thanks for the help guys!!!
