Default Frame Damage?

Hey what's going on guys. A little new around here so bare with me. As the topic says though I'm trying to get an idea of what type of repair cost I'm looking at and to see if anyone has an idea of where to start.

A brief synopsis of the accident I was making a right turn at about 20-25mph, lost control of the back end and tagged a pole at about 15mph in the rain. The irony being that same day I was going to buy new rears and was just trying to make it back to my house from work. I've already replaced the inner tie rod and tie rod end on the left side to no avail. I had one of the alignment techs put the car up to see how far the toe was out on the left and it's more than 4 degrees out. The car isn't my DD so I do have a good amount of time to save up and tackle the task in fixing it. And I am in no rush as I'd rather do it right and make sure the frame is fine. So my questions would be judging by the pictures how far do you think the frame is out of wack if any. Appreciate any help.

Its really hard to see much from those pictures, but to fix that, that whole piece has to be replaced I think, which won't be cheap. Did you hit the wheel at all?

Yea. The wheel itself popped the curve judging by the curb rash on it the pole barely missed the wheel itself. I had a tech at work just put the alignment back into spec where I can drive it to the body shop without it rubbing too badly. I got a couple techs at work saying totaled but I'm hoping that my intuition is right and it can be fixed. Once I get the car back to the house later on in the week and take the fender off I'll take better pictures of it so that you guys can see how far damage actually goes into the frame. Appreciate the response(s) and opinion(s) you guys have on this.

You may have bent the control arms, but those are easy to replace. Check the seam welds around the upper control arm mounts (see if they're pulled). The steering rack tie-rod can be replaced separately as well, if it's bent. Honestly, it doesn't look bad at all.

Yea I ended up switching out the inner tie rod and tie rod end. I should have mentioned that before. But yea after the replacement of that I ran out of threads on the new tie rod and tow was still out of spec. so the next step is to check the control arms. Hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

So a little bit of an update on the car. I got my fenders in took them to the bodyshop to have them installed and got some bad news. I knew full well it would take a little bit of work to actually get the fenders installed on the car however these fenders require a lot of modification to get them installed. The mounting brackets on the fender don't even reach the holes on the frame to install them. They are about 1 1/2 short at least. The bracket to mount them near the door has about and inch between that and the actual frame also. So my question to you guys is how much prep work is usually done to install fenders like these?

Has anyone had experience with these fenders and any tips? As these are the second set that I got from them (First set had some imperfections due to the UPS guy) Trying not to go through the hassle of getting a third set sent in just to have the same issue. Appreciate the help.

Also good looking out on calling the rocker panel needing to be replaced. Still going to have them right up an estimate to put it on their frame machine and check to see if there is anything out of whack just to be on the safe side. Then getting them to write up a separate estimate on getting the alignment back in spec.

Some advice to you, get rid of those Extreme Dimensions bodywork and save yourself the time & money it'll take to make it fit. Go with something else, like Downforce fenders.

Quite honestly, I'm surprised ED is still in business with the crap quality products they produce.

Yes honestly I expected better for the simple fact that customer service was good. The first instance of damaged fenders wasn't even their fault and they sent me new ones asap. So I thought I'd be satisfied with the second set and come to find out they need a lot of modification to even remotely fit. Like I anticipated them needing to retrofit the fenders but I didn't think that they would be that bad. I'm a pretty lenient guy when it comes to things like this cause I know they are aftermarket but from what the body shop told me literally just caught me off guard. He pretty much told there was no way of putting these fenders on without custom fabbing at least three of the brackets needed. I even wanted to believe that the frame was the reason behind it but tech assured me that it wasn't the case. I guess I have to pretty much bite the bullet on this one and find some way to get a return on my money.

Your frame is bent thats why they said totaled: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-S-dJan1ZL2...600/images.jpg
the part that looks like a little airplane wing on ur driver side is clearly damaged, car will drive and stuff fine but don't expect it to be a perfect racecar anymore because it will never drive
the same, only good for daily, sell it

Anything can be fixed with enough time and effort. If this was my car, and i was hell bent on fixing it, the way I would do it is to find someone who has parted out an S with rear end damage, and buy the section of the frame that needs repair on your car. A good welder should be able to carefully stitch in a piece from the donor car to repair the damaged section. You want to make sure that the work is done right, that the welds are ground down flush afterwards, and that you make sure to completely seal and rustproof any seam on the backside so you dont get rust along the weld down the road.

This is how I would do the repair, but to each their own of course.
