have you tried redline MTL or mt-90?

Its worth the $ to me for a smoother shiftting gearbox. and its a good product. I will never go back to the honda oil, thats for sure. I will try the GMSMFM at the next service. good luck

 

Hmm hopefully you guys can help me. I just did the tranny change w/ the GMSMFM and shifting from 1 to 2nd grinds from time to time. What can I do? I try to shift slowly into each gear, and sometimes it even grinds. I have a 03' and right now its at 15,800 miles.

 

It's the nature of the beast I find that if you double Clutch...that is press once to get out of gear and press agin to go in to gear it helps a lot. I think the 04/05 transmission with there carbon fiber synchronizers do not have as much problem with this. I test drove an 03 before I bought the 02 I have and it had only 2700 miles on the clock and it grinded like a S.O.B.

 

Check your clutch pedal adjustment.........

Will do, but I always make sure my clutch is all the way in before shifting. Gets annoying sometimes.

 

We still get the 1-2 grind when the transmission is cold. Waiting doesn't seem to help - I've coasted for half a block and still gotten the grind. Double clutching does fix it, but is a bit of a pain.
