One trick that works with soft tops that you're worried about creasing(esp. ones w/ plastic windows) is to roll up a towel into a "hot dog" length wise, secure it with some rubber bands, and put it on the inside of the folds in the roof. (put the top partway down, put the towel in put it the rest of the way down)
