Default Metal shavings on oil drain plug.

During an oil change today I noticed a small amount of very fine metal shavings when I wiped off the magnetic drain plug. Should I be concerned? The size of the shavings were compareable to dust.

By your description, I wouldn't worry. I too, have the magnetic drain plug and have seen similar "dust" particles. This was at the same interval when my oil analysis came back indicating my engine was doing fine (as far as the oil was concerned). Now, if you were to get shavings like what you would see on the diff drain plug, then worry. It's OK for the diff but not for the crankcase oil.
