Just wanted to share the outcome with everyone, in case someone else runs into this same issue with their S.

I had the cat replaced today under warranty, and wow! It feels like I gained 100hp today. Vtec works again as it always did, and perfect as it should! I guess that failed cat really can put a damper on the car's power. It pulls so hard now, as i'm not used to this, as it's been weeks now that i've been used to a car that's been incredibly underpowered and shitty working.

The 02 sensor also failed. The baffles from the cat inside that broke off, broke the tip of the 02 and Honda is refusing to cover it under warranty, even though they have told me it had failed due to the failed cat.

Would you guys persue to get this covered under warranty with Honda of Canada/US or do you feel this is normal? I know the 02's aren't covered normally under warranty due to failure, but under these circumstances I feel honda should be going good for it.

Oh and on a side note, I had no clue Canada was getting Moonrock and Orange in their S2K model year lineup for this year. WOW! They are stunning in person!

If I wasn't going to sell my s2k in April for a more spacious car, i'd be trading mine in on that moonrock without a doubt. Gorgeous!

Thanks for all the help all.

Steve
