I wish mine was on as last night late on the open freeway a was messing with a C5 Corvette to about 130, could have really surprised him with the Vortech, as it was he just toyed with me.

RES2K- If you are mainly wanting to drag race I, myself, would go a different route, J's 4.44 gears and motor mods seem to work better, if you do S/C and drag, heed xviper's warnings. Pt

Do you think these mods to the kit are necessary on what I think is a low pressure oil return line? Please enlighten me as when the day comes for my install, I want it to be the absolute best job that can be done. I only have 2500 miles on mine and I am told the huge power increase will cause clutch slip problems under hard loads but I am going to wait and burn my stock clutch some before spending more$$$. I feel I won't get max. performance until I move to the ACT stage 1 or 2. S/C friends of mine say the clutch makes a big difference after you get rid of the stock one. Please S/C Guys...What do you think??? Phil
The ACT Stage 1 Clutch is a repackaged stock Honda clutch(unmodified).

The stock clutch is more than sufficient for a SC'd S2000.

Jerry thanks for the tip-do you think my stock clutch, unabused, with 2500 miles will not slip under load? I'm not talking about launchs, but just roll on? Thanks Phil

Just got off the line with superchargersonline.com and Vortech does offer a stainless braided oil return line, around $125, I am not going to do it because he said it is mostly for looks, but does recommend/thinks it is a good idea to weld the NPT fitting into the oil pan. Pt

Mine is on the way!!!! WEEEEHEWWWWW!!!

I also just ordered from David @RandDmotorsports the Mugen: CAP, fanswitch, and thermostat. This were strongly recommended by Vortech. PS-thanks for the great service David!

No, I worked out a special package with my installer-he cut the installation/tuning price in almost half if I bought it through him so it worked out about the same. Thanks for the tip as if I had the ability to install myself I would have gone with him and saved a lot!!! My guy bought it through superchargersonline.com which I guess is his distributor. Plus, I feel if there's a problem down the road, I only have one stop. I also ordered the 4 spray oil jet bolts that come in 03' and non-US models part#15290-PCX-000 avaiable here on the boards for about $10 apiece. Might as well put them in while the oil pan is dropped. Thanks again and let me know how it goes. Phil

All the bugs are worked out, mine was a simple but long install. I was one of the few who got there Polished Vortech Delivered for $3,850. Lastly that C5 will still walk my Vortech S2000 on the highway....even with the Vortech your torque #'s are still under 200, the C5 stock is way over 300.

They are sick!! (C5) but I know I might of surprised him just a little stock and I know I would have really surprised him with the Vortech, not by thinking I would win, but by keeping up that much closer. And best of all I would lie and tell him I'm stock at the off ramp!!!(Just Kidding) PT
