no vtec?

the other day I was driving and when i got up to when vtec comes in it, it kicked in then made this weird clunking sound and now vetc does not turn on at all. i have a maint. required light now, could it be like a solenoid or something?

I havent had my s for very long so I would epericate the help very much.

Are you sure it's this? Or do you mean the Malfunction Indicator Light (or CEL)? The Maintenance Light is just a reminder. It's the CEL light that you can retrieve the fault codes for. If it is the CEL, then get the codes and go from there.

yeah it was the maint light but it just so happend to come has I forgot to warm up the car all the way this is my first with full vtec.

You hit the cold rev limiter and the Maint. R'quired light is just a coincidence.
