NRG Hood Dampers

recieved a new pair today...except they do not slide. They are stiff. The hood will not go down. Is there a twist, or tug, or pull that i need to do to alllow them to slide. Thanks

Very hard to compress by hand;at least my Teins were.
Install them first,then close your haood slowly,by pushing it gently,from the sides.
Should be OK,after a few times.

Did you try working them by hand first?

i grabbed about 9 towels and finally compressed by hand. Then i did that for abot 10 min each.. Installed again, slowly working.. Thanks everybody

Word of warning.....be very carefull to not accidently turn on your wipers with the hood up....I nudged the wiper stalk and it took out a nice piece of painit while the hood was up

I did the same.. sucked arse! touch up paint resolved the issue.
