I don't remember all the designations.

All I know is the Kudzu Mazda sounds totally sick under load.

mazda won lemans with that 4 rotor engine. only japanese car to do so. yeah it does sound totally sick.

sequential twins will do what they've always been used for...put down power in a smooth linear fashion... big turbo equals big lag.....

[B]RB26DETT would not fit. Butttt, RB25DET and SR20DET should be able to fit with hardcore modification.

I'm interested to see how long it will take for someone to fab a custom eccentric shaft to mate two Renesis motors together... 4-rotor, 500 hp, naturally aspirated? I'm not sure what the Renesis weighs, but the damn thing is hardly any bigger than the starter motor on the S2000, so it can't be much. Even if you doubled them together, it would probably still be lighter than an F20C. But rather than putting that in an AP1, I'd really like to see that motor go into an FD. Finally, a 500 hp REALIABLE RX-7.

The S2000 engine with tranny and everything might be in the 350 lbs range. Its still a hell of a lot lighter than your typical V8.

The NSX engine would never fit. It's way, way, way too wide. You'd have to eliminate the shock towers :-).

However, the J32A2 SOHC V6 from the CL-S might just squeeze in based upon some measurements we took. With simple header and exhaust mods (which you'd have to custom fab anyways), it makes a legit 300 hp and 245 lbs-ft (crank) with Honda reliability. Its also the smallest and lightest V6 in the 3-4 liter class. Probably weighs 50 lbs more than an F20C.

Why don't they make a straight 6 for the S?

They would have to extend the engine bay by another foot, or so. Besides, Honda is pretty conservative. I don't know of any other Honda that is as extreme as this one. Adding another 2 cylinders would be WAY out of character for Honda.
