Popped out of 4th gear?

The search function is your friend... here is a thread with the exact same issue and Bill diagnosed the problem as "Rounded sleeve teeth, or bent fork".

Assuming the problem is with the sleeve teeth and/or shift fork, the transmission would basically need to be rebuilt or replaced to fix the issue. The price is entirely dependent on if you choose to have the transmission rebuilt or replaced and the labor rates that your shop charges (assuming you aren't doing the labor yourself). Before going to the extreme of a replacement or rebuild, I would see if the problem persists... it's possible you may have just failed to fully put the shifter in gear.

I rebuilt my own transmission when mine was popping out of 3rd gear. It was worn sleeves and worn forks on mine. I replaced all bearings as well since I was already tearing it all down anyway. (Probably could have gotten by without replacing bearings). Cost for all parts and tools to complete the job was ~$1800. (Would have been only ~$1000 for just synchro sets and forks.)

See if it happens regularly on you. I would monitor the this before spending big bucks.
Every now and again my 1st gear does this, I've got a questionable syncro. 105K. It will pop out once or twice in a week and than not do it for months.
