Hi guys,

Had a new MY05 S for a month now and have covered around 400 miles in the car. It is going back to the dealer next Friday as I have an intermittent problem with the car slipping out of 6th gear. It does it as the car is beginning to warm up (Say 2 miles) and at around 3500 RPM, 70 mph ich.

Has anyone had this or know of this problem on other cars ? Any advice would be appreciated as I have a sneaking suspicion that the dealer will say he can't find anything wrong with it as it happens so infrequently

Sometimes a bent shift fork will cause this problem.

I had this same problem for the first 1500 miles when it used to pop out of 6th. This normally only happened when crusing and lifting off the gas and happened at least 12 times. After 1500 miles it went away never to repeat itself.
