The R4s does NOT need to be bedded. The R4 should esp if you have run some other racing pad due to transfer.
Clicking is only associated with bearings or initial movement of the pad in the caliper. I have had R4's in the wrong backplate shape on another car. So compare! If it is any smaller than stock it will move a bit. You can test this with a cold start reverse and the noise should be a distinct but moderate click, if it clacks the backing plate is too small.
A follow-up test is slop a bunch of the red brake silencer, synthetic glue, on the outboard backing plate, and a ring on the inside piston. Let it dry completely, give it a spin and see if you have the same initial symptoms with the 6 mph test. The red adhesive won't last a trackday, but won't harm anything.
Otherwise start the bearing testing.
