Default slipping clutch

i have a 2000 ap1 with a 2002 engine i just installed like 1 month ago, the motor had like 300miles on it wen i got it. I examined the clutch and it was brand new. Anyhow i have had the car running for about 3,000 miles now and last night i went to drive it a little harder than usual and the clutch seems to slip at high rpms. Like 7-9k rpms or so its slipped. The weird thing is around town or during low end power it grabs just like normal....even when i mash the gas pedal in 1st gear from 10mph or so there is zero slippage at all. Is it possible that the clutch is still being broken in ? i have not driven it hard at all and last nigh was the first time...The install job was done 100 percent correct. I also replaced the slave and clutch master cylinnder yesterday and the plunger arm is adjusted correctly...

everything is oem

Could it be possible with the new engine u got an ap2 tranny? I ask because the ap2 has a clutch delay valve in the slave cylinder and at high rpm gear changes it can feel like clutch slip if u dont change just right..... From my knowledge clutches don't slip from not being broken it, they slip from not being broken in properly but I could be wrong on that...
