Cleaned the throttle body last night, definitely small improvement. The car does still struggle with idle, but an improvement is an improvement, and the car didn't stall pulling into my garage! Still the idle seems to drop down really low when coming to a stop.

 

Try a valve adjustment. I have heard a lot of guys saying that helped them fix it after trying to diagnose it for so long.

 

have you had a clutch job recently because when my knock sensor was bad car idled funny, car wasn't peppy and vtec was meah, with a new sensor everything returned to normal.

 

It was the throttle position sensor!! I can't believe it was such a simple fix. It must have slowly worked its way loose a couple weeks ago. When I installed the new one I put it in at the same position. But today I went back and adjusted it and now my idle is perfect!
