still tranny issues (getting worse)
I just changed my tranny fluid with honda mtf, i bled my clutch (which was dark and i had air in the lines), and changed my diff fluid. I was hoping that this would fix my tranny issues of the "gritch" into 2nd and 3rd. recently though the little single grind i can feel in the palm of my hand is not only from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd, but also from 3rd to 4th a little bit. it seems as the longer time goes on, the worse it gets I have been double clutching to avoid ruining my gears, but want to shift normally again. is it possible that all my syncros are going out one by one?

If the clutch fluid was as bad as you say it was, then you may have damaged your transmission. Before tearing it apart, I would try a different MTF to see if that helps. Good luck.

did you get the clutch mc and fluid totally clean with entirely new fluid ?, some of those symptoms have been blamed on the clutch fluid and mc on other s2ks. Do a second fluid change if necessary.
your clutch mc might also be failing, check to see if you have any fluid leakage under the dash by the clutch rod.
Also, maybe consider lengthening your clutch rod to ensure you are getting full clutch disengagement and engagement prior to your shifter being moved. That helped me with my 2nd gear crunch which is totally gone now.
Lastly, consider doing the shifter lube as per the tsb, it mostly affects 5th gear and reverse but if you have water getting into the shifter housing the rust can affect other gears too.
Theres a good chance all of these items may correct your problems, with very little cost invovled, if they don't help then you will know that you have a mechanical issue with your tranny or clutch system.

Hi all,
Just bought my first 2005 Honda S2000 about 2 month ago. Already had my second and third gears grind a few times. Also, about a week ago I had my first gear pop out and I heard a loud bang. I thought someone hit me in the rear.
I did a lot of research in the past week and even called America Honda but no help from them either. They told me they never heard about this problem. I am about to replace my transmission fluid with original Honda manual transmission oil. My mechanic told this morning that it will be a waste of money if I went and replaced my transmission fluid. He told me it will not help. He said I need to rebuild my tranny. Did someone have the same problem? After replacing the transmission fluid, was shifting gears much smoother and no more gear grind? Or maybe I do need to rebuild my tranny? Thank you.
