tps problem....
o.k. just got back from autozone and the ran my cel code and it came back
P0122 0 - 7 ----Throttle Position Circuit Low Input. The light came up last night and the engine doesn't sound normal. The guy said that it could be the sensor or could just be a corroded wire. I was wondering if this is an easy fix for me to do or should I leave it up to honda? autozone has one but its not oem and the also had a edlebrock one that's not street legeal. I don't really understan stuff like this(I know cars but don't know anything about sensors or electrical) any info would be great. I'm probally setting up an appointment tommarow with honda unless i find out it's an easy fix.

the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is on the side of your T/B (Throttle Body)
Unplug the connector and make sure pins are good and not bent and no corrosiaon or anything of that sort....
about 2" away from the TPS connector, strip the MIDDLE "red/black" wire like 1-2mm so you can see bare wire. becarefule and do NOT cut the wire.
get a multimeter.
put the key in ignition and 2-click. Do NOT start car
get out your multimeter and place POSITIVE lead onto the "red/black" stripped wire. place the NEGATIVE lead on a good grounding spot in the engine bay.
you should read about .3V
leave the multimeter leads on ground and on the "red/black" wire. NOW move the throttle cable on the T/B to WOT (wide Open Throttle 100%)
you should now read 4.8V
if your readings are way off, this is why you have the Code 7. You will need to loosen the sheered off bolts on the TPS and rotate it so it reads .3V at 0% throttle and 4.8V at 100% throttle. If you do this, best thing is to slot the bolts and use a screw driver to remove, THEN replace them with allens or torx bit screws.
*****when done, put electrical tape around the bare wire*****

I tried this myself today, with the TPS to the most extreme setting the highest voltage i can get WOT is 4.40. Am I in need of a new sensor as well?
