WayneTek,

I beleive that is what I read -- the airbag is modulated by fore/aft seat positon, not weight. But I cannot find the source of the information. Will keep looking and repost.

'06 Airbags -- I just finished reading my owner's manual -- great place to find reliable information. See pages 20-24

Both airbags are dual-stage (two deployment canisters) and dual threshold (when to deploy). Yes, the driver's side has a seat position sensor (fore and aft) on the seat rail. If the seat is too far forward, the airbag inflates with less force, regardless of impact. The passenger seat has the weight sensor on the seat rail to detect an occupant, and then to disable the airbag if appropriate.

The dual threshold feature also deploys the airbags at a lower level if the seat occupant is not wearing a seat belt.

Whew, complicated, but reassuring. Makes me want to consider an extended warranty.

I remember reading somewhere that the '06 ECU was going to be Re-Flashable like the one's in the RSX .... is this real or some speculation?

would getting intakes be affected by the changes of 06? For instance, AEM or PRM intakes.. would it work for 06?

I can confirm that the MY06 ECU is re-flashable.

The intake for the MY06 is different and previous intakes are incompatible without custom fabrication.
