PRM uses a K&N filter, not paper, and in a comparison between my PRM and another S with AEM (4IG) the PRM was louder by far.....the long tubing of the AEM quiets it down!

I believe the K&N is a paper filter (as opposed to a foam rubber filter).

from K&N's website...

[QUOTE]To meet minimum filtration standards, paper air filters must be thick and/or the fibers must be tightly compressed and dense. Therefore paper elements that provide adequate filtration are more restrictive to air flow by design. Additionally, as a paper filter becomes more and more clogged, the pressure inside the filter drops while the atmospheric air pressure (approximately 14.7 psia at sea level) outside the filter remains the same. HAHA...no need for that, just an honest mistake. I thought the same thing too before i got my first K&N on my 94 Accord. I the read the box and realized why i just paid $45 for an air filter!

If you really really want a loud intake just put a filter on your TB. That will for sure be loud.
