Since I wrote a few days ago, we have also booked a cute place in Savannah....right in the historic area. Have never been to Savannah and looking forward to it. Then we'll be staying two nights with church friends on Kiawah Island and will celebrate my birthday there
Savannah is a fun city for a couple days but I wouldn't want to be there till its warm.

From Maryland, demanding job with tons of business travel and limited vacation time so cramming it in:
*Nov 2017: Thanksgiving we went to Evergreen Colorado with the kids, grandchild for a week.
*Dec 2017: Christmas went to Austin for nearly two weeks, again granddaughter (which life revolves around, one kid, one grand).
*Jan: Mid-January: Got a week Time-Share swap in San Diego so the kids came from Austin and we drank a lot of craft beer and I rode my bike four rides, 200 miles total.
*Feb: President's Week: Granddaughter's FIRST birthday party in Austin, Texas with the kids, taking my bicycle for some winter training riding.
*March: St. Patricks Day pick up track-only S2Ki and head 300 miles down to Virginia International Raceway for Track Daze. Work my way home (towing).
*April: To Vegas for a week for trade show with work, 5 day detour to Austin on the way home for a grand baby fix.
*May: Work my way to Tennessee a couple of days and Rock the Dragon at "The Dragon" staying at Tapoco Lodge (for the wife) 10th thru 13th. Work my way home. 2500 mile trip in the pretty S.
*May: 19-20 HDPE Track Daze at Summit Point West Virginia.
*May 26-June 10: To Los Angeles and So Cal in general with Firestone Walker Beer Festival the final weekend, going with the kids, granddaughter.
*June 29th thru July 15th: EuroTrashTour lll. My cycling group's third summer self-guided trip to cycle the legendary roads/climbs of the grand tours. This time, the Italian Alps and Dolomites and then Austian Tirols.
* Sept 29-30th: HDPE Track Daze at Summit Point West Virginia.
* Nov 1-2 (trip Oct. 30-Nov 3) 300 miles down to Virginia International Raceway for Track Daze.
*Nov. Thanksgiving likely back to Austin
*Dec. Finally, the kids are coming home (they promised).

^ Cool places...as I've said before, I love, love, love Austin!! If you have not been to Esther's Follies there, you must go. Funniest show we've seen ever.

Our long weekend will not work out this year because of the pipe and guest bath restoration work being done. Unless we go somewhere after it's complete. Starts Feb 23 and I expect it will be at least four weeks. Do have relatives coming to visit in April for the opening of an art show. My SIL's sister is a very good painter from Chicago.

Heading to the Panhandle in Florida in a couple of weeks...

Last minute trip..... we know it won't be 70 degrees, but having the beach to ourselves for a week can't be beat!

Better take a heavy coat... my daughter lives just north of St Augustine and looks like that's in line with it. On the other hand, it looks very nice tonight. Enjoy.

When we had that cold spell a week or two ago, looked like the St Teresa was having low 50's as highs.

Looking at a 10 day forecast for that area, is showing upper 60's/low 70's during the next 10 days.

Hope that weather sticks around for another 10 days!
