Bill

We use a body friendly paint. You can't clear coat them . First we put down a barrier spray that has an anti perspirant in it. then the paint then spray that keeps it flexible and prevents running hopefully.

We use some latex paints but only in smaller areas that are more detail specific.
We can do ridges crests and spines etc with this paint and a little toilet paper..anywhere ya want!

It's good for about 4 hours or until you fall in the pool. It washes off in the shower.
This year we have a couple made up that utilize lydec wire thats battery powered so we glow like strobing neon.... They only work at night.

Orlando? I thought you were still in Texas, Dean. Oh well, sounds like you have been all over the place. I was born in Wichita, lived in So. Cal., now No. Cal. with 14 months in South Korea years ago. Thanks for the info on Philosophy and Bio- now I get it.

Legal Bill, please answer what kind of law you practise.

Didn't the lady in Goldfinger die because she was completely painted? Aren't you supposed to leave a patch at the base of the spine unpainted? (I get all my theories from movies.....)
Sorry, so many posts to read on this thread so quickly, I just forgot.

I practice in the field of corporate litigation. Generally, insurance, and other contract disputes, plus some copyright and trademark litigation. Others in my firm have financial and patent litigation practices. I don't do any criminal or personal injury work, although others in our firm do.

I don't give a lot of details about my firm or what I do on this board as it is a public forum. I do get a number of pms asking me legal questions and I am always happy to speak with folks off the board by PM. I always disclaim any atty-client relationship in such conversations and folks have to agree with that or else I won't even get into the discussion. I always dislike doing that, but you never know who you are talking to here and you never know if someone will be having a problem that is adverse to one of my existing clients so I go well out of my way to avoid any conflicts or any atty-client relationship. Of course, if one of you had a big corporate type problem, we could always pursue the discussions further.

As your original question was what's up this weekend with you...

Friday happy hour with the guys, then dinner with the wife

Saturday evening went to a Halloween party at a friend's new house. Everything the guy touches turns to $$$$. He has a full car lift in his two hobby car garage. A wreck room with pool table, pin ball, etc. Full gym. Inside hobby work room. Etc. Very impressive but he NEVER puts on any snob stuff; in fact, half the stuff you find out by accident.

Sunday .. waiting a couple car bud's to go fetch my new '57 MG this morning; so I'm getting excited. I'm hoping to drive it home (100 mi) but we will have a trailer just in case!

I so wanted to be at Beaver Run today but it wasn't ment to be. It will will still be a great weekend for me.

^ I threw together a quick meet with some of the local guys here. We did a sway bar install and couple of oil changes in my garage. Then we had a small World Series party and watched game 1 (Go Sox!). It was a good day. Always nice to hang out with S2000 folks.

Today is all sports. Patriots v Jets at 4:00, WS game 2 at 8:00.

Dave, congrats on the new MGA. Does it still have the original 1500 cc engine?

Yes. 1500 head & block. It's home now but I still have not driven it. Got it to start and run for a very short period, so I know it turns over and holds good oil pressue. Just changed the oil and it needs a new battery. Soon I will be able to tell how strong it is. Funny thing about 1500s, some are really strong (for some unknown reason) while others are more what you would expect. It's likely I will put a 3-main MGB 1800 engine in it and other MGB stuff like 3.9 diff, disc brake, etc. Give me a good driver car, while keeping with spirit, over original any day. Never had a BRG car before. So far everything I've inspected looks very early MGA (build was Jun/Jul '56) and original and most importantly only one very small rust hole in the frame.

The colors peaked this past weekend -- usually the colors change around mid-October and peak about the 3rd weekend in October.

South? I'm so far South the trees get greener in the winter and all the flowers bloom. Ragtop day 365 days a year....
