It appears we have dodged another bullet...rain for the most part in the immediate DC area. Some chance for snow this evening.

Now we just have to see how long the storm affects air travel. It's going to have a ripple effect across the country for a few days, I expect.

Did you stock up on M & Ms?
We actually bought a small generator last year. It's ready to go. Heat, lights, maybe internet.

I bought six bags of M&M's at the after Christmas clearance at 75% off. I'm good. I may have to post in Bill's
"I'm fat" thread if I'm stuck inside.

18-24" is our prediction for snow. I may be out work Tuesday and Wednesday if the time frame is accurate.

Zumba might even be cancelled too.

LB - Hope your Cape house does OK. I see high winds, especially there - like 70 mph!

About half to 3/4" on the ground now and snowing with purpose.
Not super heavy yet but there is no confusing this with passing flurries.
Those who have been to my house no my driveway is a bit windy and quite a bit uphill.
A friend of our neighbor came by to take care of their cat while they were away.
Of course her little Hyundai Sonata didn't make it back up the hill.
Making it even worse was a chunk of black ice right at the turn.
I wound up having to tow her car up the hill with the GL550.
I tried to go really slowly and gently the first time but even the mighty GL 4-matic got hung up on the sheet ice.
The second time was more of a Nantucket sleigh ride as I had to build up some speed to carry through the icy section.

She was a bit rattled by the joy ride but on her way home safely.
