Wow! How long is your driveway, Jerry? Must be very pretty when everything is green!
over the weekend I cleared those snowbanks back 4 feet on each side for the length that you see.
With more snow coming we wouldn't have been able to get emergency equipment or the oil delivery truck down the drive.
That was rather important since I want the ambulance to be able to get here for the heart attack induced from clearing the snow.

Wow...lots of work! I noticed you live NW (?) of Boston and LB lives a bit south. Which of you gets more snow? Is it consistent? In other words, Boston has had about 55" so far with the current storm to dump another 2'.
How have you fared in total inches?
How have you fared in total inches?
Where ~35 miles dead west of Boston.
In the last two weeks or so we've got around 30", 20" and 12" or thereabouts.
It's kinda tough to tell exactly for two reasons.
first off, it's a light fluffy snow so it drifts around a lot.
In one spot you can have 4 feet and 3 feet away almost bare ground.
The other is how they measure snowfall. Snow compresses under it's own weight.
In theory you go out once an hour and measure it and clear that spot.
That wasn't going to happen. So our totals are technically much higher if "properly" measured.
I think the back half of this storm is fizzling out and we not going to get as much as predicted.
As for Bill, it's amazing how much 40 miles can matter.
He's a lot closer to the coast which means he can get a very different storm than I do.
I can get a foot of light fluffy powder and he gets 3 inches of wet concrete.
Or I get a dusting and he gets a foot. But on these storms we all got a lot of the white stuff.

We're 7th on the list so far this year. 61.5" of snow. Actually trailing behind last year.
Boston is an inch ahead of us, but way ahead of last season.

My son works in the area of Legal Bill land, (a 45-60 minute commute) called out of work today. He would have been headed right into the storm, and there were spins outs all over the roads this AM. His wife who rarely calls out, called out too. A good use of a sick/personal day.
More snow come Thursday, I hear.
Just went out to fill the bird feeder. Snow was mid-thigh, about 26". It is more than that where it has drifted. Banks at the edge of the driveway are pushing 4'.
Edit: News teaser mentioned low temps coming that we haven't seen in more than 20 years.
