Getting car delivered tomarrow
I am picking up my car tomarrow.
I have a nice storage area for it where i can work on it.
I told them not to do the PDI until i pick it up.
All i want them to do it to remove the suspension blocks or spacers or whatver thsoe thigns are.
My questions is this:
After i take it back to my storage, what things should i do to it? wax? sealant? etc?
Also, is it okay if i drive home with the white plastic on it? or should i let them take it off to do their body inspection?
Any more information on this process would be much appreciated and would greatly help.
Thank you.
Dave

dave- congrats on the new car! take pics of your process as you do the following, and post them back here if you can-
have them remove the plastic protection and the spring spacers (unless you are gonna truck it home)... inspect it to make sure all protection has been removed-
when you get home, i would wash the car with a good shampoo and lambswool mitt. dry it with a big blue type mf drying towel.
next inspect- you should feel a baby's butt smooth paint with no defects. if the car was railed at all, it might have some slight grit to the feel. if so, you would next clay it. then i would wash it again.
the car should not need to be polished (you should have avoided the free dealer swirls!). assuming that this is the case, you are ready to protect it (wax or synthetic, or both).
dont forget protection for your interior too, as well as the wheels - i even put zaino on all (hard) surfaces of my car (metal, plastic and i once did the glass too)!
