Default How do you clean the "ENGINE START" button?

After almost 4 years, I noticed that my "ENGINE START" button is collecting dirt in the recessed lettering. So what is the best way to clean the dirt out of the recessed lines of the letters? Wiping does not help, as the dirt is below the level of the surface. Thanks.

I would try an old toothbrush and a mild cleaner. Anything strong might remove the paint in those dirty letter grooves.

Dab a "Q-tip" in some simple green and work at it. Shouldn't be a problem since the contours of the Q-tip will be able to swish out any dirt in the grooves of the letters.

Good luck

for those small places the compressed air cans with the thin plastic nozzle works well. Then I too do the Q tip thing

simple green applied to a towel then to the start button... also the emergency blinker button,
should do the trick.
more ideas are in my thread, if you want to search for it.
good luck!!

Thanks. I did a search (for "engine start clean") before I posted my question and nothing came up. Thanks for the pointer to your thread:

start button cleaning

You asked the exact same question I did. I will try some of the suggestions made. Thanks again.
