Default Marks on dash after screen replaced

Hi all, dunno whether you can answer this or not. I had my windscreen/windshield (delete according to nationality!!!) replaced last week and since then have noticed one or two shiny looking streak marks on my dash (hopefully spills and not scratches) but I can't get rid of them.

I've tried dash cleaner and good old soap and water, both with soft microfibre cloths and still the marks are there.

Can anyone guess what they might be, and how I migt get rid? I'm wondering if it's some sort of silicone or something...

TIA,

Marc.

I'd say, call the company that did the replacement and see if you can identify. They can probably (and should) clean it up in a jif.

If not, body paint shops have special silicone cleaners, or you could try a citrus cleaner like Xenit.

if you cant easily get it out, i suggest taking it back to the folks who replaced the windshield...
first you might try xenit.
hard to diagnose your problem by your description. does sound pretty strange.

Well, I just called the company who told me they would have to get one of their stores to call me tomorrow as they're closed now and the call centre assistant didn't have a clue.

Hopefully I won't have driven myself mad by that time!!! Sometimes I wonder if I care too much about my car...

Whoa! Can't say I'm surprised about the content, but the timing is nuts!
