Official BAD guy thread
DO NOT BUY FROM "d0nkeyxPunch."
Here's my wonderful experience with this shady character named James. I PM him for a T1R exhaust 70R. He lives about 10 minutes or so away from me, so I go check out the exhaust in person. Everything appears to be good from the outside, but I do notice that the exhaust tip is extremely close to the bumper. I asked him if there was any clearance problems or whether or not the exhaust hit the bumper. He claimed no. I do check out the underside of the exhaust and his car and everything looks okay. He mentions to me (like he did state in his ad) that he did not have the clamps that clamp the mid pipe/test pipe to the axle back portion of the exhaust. Before I even asked, he reassured me that there was no exhaust leak because the smaller portion of the exhaust slip fit slides into the larger portion and because "when the exhaust heats up, the piping expands anyways" (his exact words). Me, being the trusting guy that I am, decide to take his word for it. I can't really check for leaks at this point b/c his car is pretty low.
Fast forward a couple days later when he decides to drop off the exhaust. He apparetly did not have time to drop it off earlier and wanted to drop it off at 10 p.m. at night. I go out there and it's dark so I'm unable to really thoroughly inspect the exhaust. I hand over my $700.00 to him and he pretty much gets me going even though I had asked a couple questions (he even fessed up to that when I met him at the gym a couple days later where he mentioned and apologized that he thought he was being rude b/c his girlfriend who had been driving him mentioned it). I thought nothing of it of course.
A couple days later, I decide to wipe down the exhaust so when I transport the exhaust to my friend's place in his car, that no dirt will get everywhere. I wipe down the piping and everything checks out, but then when i get to the tip, I notice three spots of imperfection (pictures will be up shortly). I don't really think much of it at this point, even though I thought it was pretty shady for him to push the exhaust onto me without even mentioning this (James even later mentioned in his PM's that he never saw these imperfections when he took off the exhaust and it must have been my doing. Shadiness personified is this donkeyxpunch/James character).
That weekend, my friend and I, who have been working on cars our entire driving lives (8+ years each) and have installed countless exhausts for our friends, put the exhaust on with no real hitches. Then when I fire up the exhaust, we check for leaks by putting our hands around the fitting from the header to the test pipe and then at the slip fit (where James claimed there would be no exhaust leak). Sure enough, there was an exhaust leak. After unbolting and refitting the exhaust multiple times, there was no alleviation of the leak. I then tried calling James on his cell phone but after two rings, he turned off his phone. At this point, I still trusted that James was a good guy, and was probably busy, but after the following events occurred, I have reason to believe that he was a scammer all along.
I decide to wait a couple days to see if the exhaust would heat up and take care of the slip fit like James claimed. Nope. James and I then had a series of PM's wherein he continues to lie about NO exhaust leak. He also then claims that he "checked" for exhaust leaks prior to installing on his car and even before taking off his exhaust. Of course, he mentions that he never HEARD an exhaust leak. After my last PM to him stating that you may not necessarily "hear" an exhaust leak, but could feel it, of course he PMs me back conveniently stating that he did feel for the exhaust leak. Big surprise.
At this point, I'd like my money back from this guy. Of course, private party sales guarantee nothing, but I bought the exhaust under false pretenses and claims from this shady guy named James/Donkeyxpunch. I think that this would warrant a void on the fact that it was a private party purchase and he should fess up and give me my money back.
The exhaust leak is not entirely all that bad and the tip imperfection is only cosmetic, but I was ensured the exhaust was in mint condition and had no leak.
He is now basically saying in his PMs to me that I'm a liar and just trying to get back on the sale. I have my friend as a witness who saw the imperfections prior to installation as well as the exhaust leak, since he was the one to even mention that we should feel for one.
I would recommend that no one do any business with this guy. He may just lie to you too and tell you that you're $%#& out of luck when you find out about the problem.

LOL...Great comeback. I'll let this slide.
Paul, I am seriously done with you. I really don't feel like typing things out. If you are still not over it and have anymore things to say to me, you are more than welcomed to say it in person. You know my phone #, you know where I live, and you know my workout schedule.
Otherwise, I would like to go about my s2ki business without keep checking this thread or the other one. Thanks.

Trust me. I wanted to this over a long time ago, but I don't enjoy being the recipient of snide sarcastic remarks especially when they're completely incorrect. If you want to continue trying to justify yourself and threaten me, be my guest, but I'm not one to back down and let untruths be left alone.
Trust me, I'm done with you and your little threatening comments as if I'M supposed to be scared of YOU. "Laughing Out Loud."
I'm pretty much done with this now since everything that needed to be said has been documented in the two bad experience threads. As long as you're done, I'm done in these threads.

Good afternoon everyone,
I purchased a BYS Fiberglass spoiler painted Berlina Black from jdmghostrider on June 28th. Upon receiving payment jdmghostrider was very happy about the purchase and promised to get the spoiler out as soon as paypal cleared. Well that did not happen. The spoiler was shipped out finally on July 10th and yes, I did send him multiple messages asking what was the status of shipping the spoiler. Now for the fun part.
Today, July 16th (18days later), I finally received the spoiler and it was not the spoiler with GOOD berlina black paint I was expecting. Im going to start off small then large with the flaws with the spoiler jdmghostrider sent me.
1. He sent me different kinds of mounting screws/nuts for the spoiler and only four (out of five) of them...ok not that big of a deal.
2. The paint on the spoiler is horrific. Chips, uneven weaves are everywhere and even a crack . I'm halfway embarrassed to have this mounted on my car right now.
3. ITS A F'N REPLICA!@!@#@#@#$$... and it doesn't fit right at ALL. I seriously can not believe this guy. What a joke this guy is.
Here is the link to the thread I bought it off of him.

1. BYS was painted recently in December and if you would like MORE pics I will show it to you. Ask any SoCal member that's been to the Topdown or San Diego meets and they will tell you BYS is in EXCELLENT condition.
2. Reason for 3 Hex nuts, a Philips nut, and 1 missing is that is how I bought the car with those nuts. Not to mention it was missing one because it's almost impossible to reach the middle one due to the trunk latch.
3. I PMed you to inform you that I was busy at work and never got around to shipping it out.
4. Take Don Trans name out of it, my buddy has no part in this he is the one who accepts paypal claims since I do not have a paypal.
5. About the BYS being authentic, if you read in my thread, I stated that I bought the car with it and the seller listed it as a "backyard special" spoiler. Here's a copy/paste of that I kept it so that people like you wouldn't try and scam me...
"Hi Jay,
the bluebook value is $18,800 for my car, so asking
$21K is very fair value with all the mods i have on
the car over $8K. $18K without my Volks rims or
$19,500 as is if you're seriously interested. I don't
want to part out the car as yet, because i just listed
the car for sale 1.5 week ago. Welcome to see my
immaculate car if you like.

Right out of the autotrader ad bro...now you tell me, the original owner is going to buy an AUTHENTIC J's halflip, ce28n's, and a replica BYS? not to mention so3's...
I've sold on the boards before bro and I NEVER lie to people interested in my parts. NOT to mention the fact that...1. This guy decided to scam me and pay me exact 230 instead of the 230 plus paypal fees.
2. I admit it took me awhile to return his PMs due to my busy schedule at work, but when I did return his PMs and assured him I would jump on it.
3. I still haven't received the third brake light as promised upon receiving the BYS.
i can vouch that the WHOLE car including the spolier was repainted by a reputable body shop here in san diego, even if there was a problem Jay is not the type of person to scam anyone here. hope you get this problem solved
