I didn't want to do this. But apparently this is my only recourse.

I purchased a Veilside carbon replica rear wing from Greg (partshelper)

I had an issues with it when I first received it. and after spending about 90 min working with mineral spirits I was able to solve that problem, and Greg gave me back 30.00. Seemed kind of fair at the time.

My car has been down for the last 2.5 months while I installed the Super charger. the wing had been kept in it box until I installed it about 2 weeks ago.

I noticed some brown residue on my back bumper when I washed it the first time (getting ready for the South Florida Super meet) and just wiped it off. It seems like something is leaking out of the bottom of the wing when it gets washed.

I washed it again on sat morning (right before the supermeet) and the same thing happened. I figured it had to be coming from the spoiler.

at the meet, I noticed a blemish in the clear coat. it's there but not blatant. It's very apparent if you look at the right angle.

I contacted Greg to see what we could to (I thought he would offer to send me a perfect one as he promised originally) (three issues later) he said sorry I'm out of luck.

I spent 300.00 minus 30.00 (original credit for the first problem) and now I have a blemished wing. that I paid almost 300.00 for.

This car is show car quality from the installation of the stereo and all the electronics , the custom blue/black interior, to the supercharger and the polished aluminum accents under the hood. I will probably show it at HIN later this year.

Now I have to either buy another spoiler (I won't sell this one to anyone else given the issues) or pay to have it sanded, repaired and painted.

I'm sorry I didn't buy the fiberglass veilside in the first. At least I would have a quality product and would have expected to have to paint it.

First of all in the beginning I gave you a deal on the wing A Pm from you...

any chance for a previous customer break?
Yes, I gave you $50.00 off right off the back for the wing.

This is understandable.

I would consider having it painted, but if we do that you will need to give me some money back. Otherwise I will need a new one
$2.00 a Minute, thats more then most people make on their day jobs. If you cleaned the wing, shouldn't you have noticed a DIME size flaw???

I just spent an hour and 15 min cleaning it with mineral spirits.
I got it all off. Please refund me the 30.00 and we'll call it a day
It has been over 2.5 months since you have purchased the wing, and I don't know if you had it on your car, or in a box, or dropped something on it, who really knows what happened. I told you if you had brought this to my attention earlier, then I would have no problem working with you on getting this issue fixed. Its like buying a carbon fiber hood, and going through a Hail Storm, and trying to return it cause it has dents in it 2.5 months later. I dont know where its not making sense. I have no problem personally believing you, but from a business standpoint, you had the wing cleaned, and I even offered to give you a different wing, if you wanted, and you passed on that. Gave you a discount, and also gave you a partial refund. I think I was more then fair on my part.

here is a run of PM's back and forth. you can see that I had an issue in the beginning, and did everything I could to work it out for both parties (I should have sent it back in the first place- for that I am responsible) You can also see where there was a time I got no response from the seller.

I guess my point here is this. I feel that he should have least picked up the phone and asked for a picture. Knowing that I as a customer had already had an issue with this item. Instead, His business decision is to not even attempt to find a solution.

I will end up having it repaired. and painted. I thought it a good business practice on my part to share my experience with potential customers of this seller so you are clear on the kind of service after the sale that you will receive.

Greg actually said he believed what I was saying, but his business decision was to do nothing. you can see that in this tread in the S. Fl forum.

S. FL thread

Mitch, Wasnt ignoring your Pm's just got a little busy with work. shoot me over your paypal and I will get that over to you

Greg

QUOTE
Greg,

are you not responding now to my emails. I see you have read the last few, yet I haven't received a response.

I would rather not post that you promised me a perfect one, shipped me a non perfect one, and haven 't given me back the credit we discussed. It certainly would have cost you more than 30 to pay for the shipping back and send me a new one.... I spent well over an hour getting whatever the stuff off that was on it

Mitch

QUOTE
yeah once I get the tracking no , I can send the other one out

Greg

QUOTE
Greg,

I can pack it up and send it back. If possible I would really like to not wait another 2 weeks to get this resolved.
would you send out the re[placement before you get the other one back. I will be happy to send you a tracking number.

Please advise, and when you take care of the refund for the sipping, please do it as a refund so paypal doesn't charge me back.

thanks

Mitch

Can you just send the wing back, and I will send you paypal for the shipping amount.

Greg

QUOTE
If i was planning on getting it painted anyway, then I could have bought the original veilside for 30.00 more.

I would consider painting it, and of course whatever is on it would be sanded off when it's prepped. However I don't think I should have to pay for the majority of that work and paint.

If you want to give me a more reasonable discount, that could work.

Are you sending me a new one and a call tag for this one. I do not want this to drag on. I would like a resolution today (whether its a partial refund or a new one and a call tag)

Thanks

Mitch

QUOTE
if you are getting it painted anyway it will be all gone once they prep the wing for paint. I can do like $30.
Greg

QUOTE
i think it would cost about 100 to paint it. based on the front spoiler i had painted a few years ago

Mitch

let me know

QUOTE
Ok. what did you want as a discount, or I can replace it for you with a new one.

Greg

QUOTE
i tried taking a pic, but its impossible to see in a pic. it's enough to feel and dull the finish a bit,but not enough to show up in a pic..

Mitch

QUOTE
can you send me a pic of it, cause we have never had that issue.

THanks

Greg

QUOTE
hmmm I guess it would help if I could actually type. the finish is not smooth it's rough on one side and not glossy like the rest of the wing.

it looks like glue or maybe resin.

does that make any sense?

Mitch

QUOTE
it has what in the claer coat?

Greg

QUOTE
Greg,

I received the Veilside spoiler today. It has some in the clear coat on one side. The fitment is great, but I can't live with the blemish.

I would consider having it painted, but if we do that you will need to give me some money back. Otherwise I will need a new one

Please adivse

thanks

QUOTE
the fitment of this wing is PERFECT. I have one on my car and it fits like a glove.

Greg

QUOTE
how is the fitment compared to the veilside?

QUOTE
QUOTE
I thought the wing was an authentic veilside. I don't really want it if it's not. there is a group buy for the same price you sold it to me for,,,, if's it's a replica.

I can get the real deal for about a 100. more, and I'm going to paint, it anyway. so I can get the authenitc fiberglass veilside wing for 369 shipped

Please advice

thanks

Mitch

yeah it is a Replica wing. Did you still want it
