Ok threads have been locked. Please provide an instance of a thread that has been locked in this forum that should not have been.

Agreed, overmoderated. I like the suggestion to let the problems come to you. If enough people complain, take a look at the problem. Otherwise let it be.
No. So if a pot hole forms in the road it shouldnt be fixed until someone complains about it which is hopefully before you hit it break your front suspension and careen into a tree? If everyone drive 100mph on the highway and no one clomplains it isnt illegal? Come on.

The Admins. Send them and the mod or whoever you disagree with a well written and thought out PM and you will get the same in reply. If you just PM them and say "Gigdy is a dick", however true it may be, will probably not get you the response you are after.
This isn't a bitchfest or whining contest, it's a fact filled discussion that's agreed upon by multiple members as this thread continues to grow. I agree that people shouldn't be allowed to post "anything", but you guys know as well as us that things are over-moderated here all too often...

As I edited an earlier post I have edited yours. This is not a place to attack moderators. It will not be tolerated. If that rule can not be followed this thread will be closed.

In case anyone hasnt noticed we are trying to keep this thread open. But in the end it is up to you all.

I understand Sometimes the truth hurts. I never attacked anyone, just stated facts. This post is a perfect example of over-moderation and (certain) moderators thinking they own this forum.. I predicted it would be locked, per "policy", well before page 3. It's not like it's unusual around here. I'm done here, glad I was able to get that off my chest.

I remember before I got this car and I was on a different forum I could spend hours and hours just reading and learning and everyone was so friendly. No locked topics, no one playing Internet cop sending you a link to the rules everytime you post something, no one locking down your thread when you had a question or just wanted to start a discussion with people who share a mutual interest, shoot I wasn't even aware moderators existed until I got to this forum. I got here and started seeing the few same guys being disrespectful and wondering what's up with these guys being like that? and soon learning they were moderators that felt like big shots. But like the turtle mod has already said, there's not jack crack we can do cause we're just the members and they're the big shots. I don't see what the problem is, the vast majority of this forum is agreeing with each other, heck even a sponsor. But hey it's your forum you guys "own" it so keep digging it in a hole. You guys win, congrats sherrif and constables. I'm done. If no sees me around for a while I probably got banned cause the truth hurts and they have the power to do as they please LOL.

...and we're back.

Wait, we're back but in a different forum. Thread got moved but there was nothing in "S2000 Talk" to make people aware of that move?

Huh, some threads get that courtesy, this one didn't. Meh.

Yeah, it's out of control how bad it's getting.

All the other 'moved' threads have links to them, this one just quietly lost.

^ To be fair to the mods, I "whined" about Talk looking like a warzone with locked and moved icons.

Yup that was my fault. The thread was closed and we had a discussion about what to do with it and it was decided to be moved here. Some where in that shuffle it didnt have the link left in Talk.

It probably got moved to "site info" because they know less people will see it. The proper sub categorie to be in was "s2000 talk" because the OPs purpose of making the thread was to talk about how overly moderator the "s2000 talks" section is.

OK, here's one:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/104...nue-the-s2000/

The OP asked a legitimate question in the appropriate forum. RMurphy comes in with a sour attitude and proclaims it a waste of bandwidth and then proceeds to show off his/her moderator status and argue with forum members, many of whom pay to use the forum.

It's a forum, a place for people to ask questions, speculate, and have fun talking about the S2000. So what if a question has been asked before? So what if the thread is a few years old? The moderator should either be helpful and provide a link, or let the thread run its natural course... unless there's a significant violation of a significant forum rule.

If you're so burnt out that you can't answer with a helpful reply then don't be a moderator. If you're inclined to make sensitive situations turn into pissing matches then don't be a moderator. The S2000 Talk forum certainly doesn't need the level of moderation we've seen over the past few months. Less is more.

Here's another example:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/103...ping-my-s2000/

Great story, correct forum, lots of thumbs up. Then one tongue-in-cheek reply and RMurphy steps in and locks the thread. It's called humor.
