I paid.

I haven't gotten anything expect a line item charge on my CC bill.

I was "promised" a card March 10th that I'd get it within a week. Guess what?

NOTHING.

Shitty service.

After all, if he's been free-loading here as long as he's been a member: $20.00 divided by 1606 days = $0.0125 per day!

Now, if you look at his participation over the past +4 years:
1.3 ppd x 1606 days = 2,088 posts. divided into our benchmark $20 = $0.0095 per post!

So....there you have it: <1 cent per post.
....Where else can you get an entertainment bargain like that

 

Sorry, you are wrong my friend. Go read my posts again. I have never once complained about the $20 membership fee. As I said it before and I'll say it again: It is not about my own membership. It is all about the attitude of this board towards new S2000 owners and the S2000 community (and that includes me and you).

 

Yet after 4 years you are still a guest..

 

They do everything! In comparision I do very little. I run and maintain the website and try to put a global face on things but I don't organize meets, tech days, tours or wings at Hooters. If you took the local component out of the equation there wouldn't be much left. The sponsors have businesses to run. They advertise as a function of that, not as a public service. The COs ARE the community. S2KI exists to serve them, not the other way around.

There is a misconception of what is what, how and why as evidenced by this post. It might be a good time to step back, put aside your notions and reevaluate the entire scheme of things. You might come to the same conclusion you have now but I doubt it.

Your expectations of how much of my, and others, time you get for nothing is out of line with reality. If you don't want to contribute to the financial side of making and keeping this community strong that's up to you. Temper your expectations accordingly.
